Kami (package com.kami.app) is operated by the Kami team. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We never sell your data.
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone number, preferred language.
- Device data (only for phones you add yourself): device name and model, battery level, network type, SIM operator name, last known location and accuracy, last sync time.
- Security evidence (your own phone only, if you enable anti-theft): front-camera photos taken after repeated wrong PIN attempts or on your request, with time and location.
- Activity logs: every remote action (locate, siren, lock, lost mode, photo) with who did it and when.
- Emergency contacts you choose to add.
What we do NOT collect
- No microphone recording, no call or message content, no browsing history, no hidden tracking.
How we use data
Only to show your phone's status to you and the family members you consented to, to carry out actions you or they request, and to send alerts you turned on.
Sharing
Location and status are shared only with members of a family group you joined after accepting the consent screen. You can pause or revoke sharing at any time. Evidence photos are visible only to you.
Storage & security
Data is stored encrypted at rest with row-level access controls. Evidence photos are in private storage and opened only with short-lived signed links.
Retention & deletion
You can delete individual photos any time, and delete your entire account at /delete-account. Account data is removed within 30 days.
Children
Kami is not directed to children under 13. A parent may help a teenager set up their own phone, but the teen must accept consent themselves.
